On Monday, December 11.12.2023 at 1 pm Matthias Geyer will visit us at the Gene Center and give a seminar on his recent groundbreaking work on the structures of inflammasome complexes.
With his latest studies, he was able to explain a critical step in the activation mode of NLRP3, which is a critical sensor of cell stress and damage. Through its activity, NLRP3 is at the root of many inflammatory diseases and therefore an interesting drug target.
