On Monday, May 6, 2024 at 1 pm Jan Rehwinkel will visit us at the Gene Center and give a seminar on his recent work.
Jans' research focuses on the recognition of nucleic acids by innate receptors in the context of viral infections, autoinflammatory diseases and cancer. In his talk, Jan will explore an intriguing new concept in which MDA5 serves as a sensor for viral pertubation rather than for viral nucleic acids themselves.
